Session Information

What is the cost of a session?

The self pay rate is $160 for a 53 minute session. 

Are you in-network for insurance companies?

I do accept insurance and am currently paneled with Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, and United Healthcare or Optum. Your insurance company will set your session co-pay rate, if applicable. 

Do you offer sliding scale or reduced session fees? 

I offer sliding scale or reduced session fees on a case-by-case basis with limited availability. 

Which payment methods do you accept?

I accept debit and credit cards, including HSA/FSA cards. I am not able to accept cash payments, or payments via PayPal, Zelle, Cash App or Venmo since these are not HIPAA compliant. 

Do you provide superbills?

I provide any out-of-network or self-pay clients with superbills. I recommend you call your insurance company to determine if you have any out-of-network benefits. 

How do I schedule with you?

Since I am frequently unavailable or in session, you can schedule a phone consultation with me at Headway or email me at mcollie@highlandscounseling.org to set up a session.  

What is your cancellation policy? 

I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Appointments need to be cancelled at least 24-hours ahead of time to avoid the $100 late cancellation fee. I offer clients one free late cancellation or no show.

Where is your office and is it accessible? 

I am located at 1200 Broad St., Suite 206, Durham, NC 27705. There is a small parking lot in the front of the building and ample parking in the back. The office building is ADA accessible with an elevator just inside the front door. An all gender bathroom is available next to my office. 

When can you meet? 

My hours are Monday-Thursday 11 AM to 5 PM and Fridays 9 AM-1 PM. I do not have weekend availability.
